The Challenge
Southlake delivers healthcare services to communities in northern York Region and southern Simcoe County. They are a team of nearly 6,000 staff, physicians, volunteers, students and patient and family advisors, and they care for one of Ontario’s most rapidly growing and aging populations. With such an expansive demographic of users, the health centre’s website had to work for everyone. It especially needed to help patients find the right care with the right team in the right department.

Our Solution
The website is welcoming and places the community centre stage. We designed it so that patients can easily navigate the expansive and comprehensive healthcare offering. Site architecture is based on defined user journeys and we included a searchable and filterable physician directory, with links to each relevant department that has its own functional page. The home page has a custom grid feed with built in functionality for multiple account access levels and user permissions.
