Intermediate Full Stack Developer
As a full stack web developer specializing in WordPress, PHP, and JavaScript, Jordan’s expertise helps bring design concepts to life as working digital experiences. With an initial education in media arts and design, Jordan switched his focus to code after developing a passion for logic, earning a diploma for computer programming and a certificate in web design and development. Since joining RC Design in January 2019 as a junior web developer, Jordan has contributed to a large variety of projects, and has steadily advanced to an intermediate level.

I taught myself to cut my own hair.
What makes you the happiest?
Good world building. My first love is film but regardless of the medium, any story with deep lore I can dive into and learn about the symbolism, inspiration and even the behind the scenes production of, that could keep me happy for weeks.
What’s your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
I’m a visual artist. I mostly make traditional and digital drawings but I also like photography, graphic design and I’ve recently been getting into video production and editing.
What’s the strangest or most useless talent you have?
I have an exceptional record of catching things that fall off a counter, table or out of a cupboard before they hit the ground.
Do you have any strange or unique phobias or pet peeves?
Megalophobia: specifically the fear of absolutely massive, man-made things. This is simultaneously a great fascination of mine and a major contributor to my love for science fiction. A few great examples are the Makkah Royal Clock Tower in Mecca, Installation 00 from Halo and the Spacing Guild Heighliner from Dune.

Fish. Nothing traumatic has happened, they just really gross me out.

Honestly, even if I won $20 on a scratch-off ticket I’d be over the moon!
What chore do you loathe doing?
The dishes. Washing and drying isn’t the issue, it’s at the end when you have to empty the little drain stopper that caught any soggy food… you get the picture. BLUGH.

Sure, I can play a few things, ukulele, guitar, drums, but do I play them well? Now, that’s a different question.

I’m comfortable cooking complicated meals but find the simple things hard. Risotto? Easy. A pot of plain rice? Challenging.
What makes you the happiest?
Driving through the country with windows down, the three month build-up to Christmas, ice cubes, hunkering down in front of a wood stove with a cozy blanket, crying from laughing too hard, chasing fuzzy bumblebees around the yard with a camera.
What’s your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
I’m a bit of a grandma: you can find me proudly tending to my veggie and flower gardens in the summer, embroidering or painting by the fireplace in the winter, and enjoying a good sudoku or game of Bananagrams any time of year.
Do you have any strange or unique phobias or pet peeves?
Balloons and fireworks make me uncomfortable. Also, please don’t chew near me.

How to properly arrange flowers, speak German, and play the cello.

Opening day. That first day in the spring when you bring the lawn mower out, bring out the patio furniture. Winter is behind you, long days ahead, and the golfing season has begun.

I bought an electric scooter this year. I love taking it around town in the summer!

I’d love to learn how to consistently put backspin on my approach shots!

Cyprus, it’s beautiful and a lot of my family lives there.

I am forever a Leafs fan, so it would have to be the Leafs winning the Stanley Cup. I remain hopeful!
