When your mission is to protect and help children but your public perception is tainted, clear communication and strong branding is imperative. This was the position Durham Children Aids Services found itself in.
Durham CAS wanted to be known as the trusted resource for information related to the community and their questions pertaining to child protection services. They wanted people to perceive them as nurturing, trustworthy and compassionate. They wanted to combat the idea of them being child snatchers, bureaucratic and secretive.
RC Design gave them an intuitive, easy to navigate site with positive and encouraging language. The calm and uplifting colour scheme combined with clean, uncluttered pages and AODA compliance gives visitors a sense of safety and advocacy as they search for information. The logical organization of content reduced the amount of information-seeking calls and pre-qualified those who did call as serious inquirers. And the simple Content Managed System makes updating and maintaining content quick and easy.
With their new website, Durham CAS has aligned their mission with the public’s perception, benefitting all those involved with this worthy organization.
